Garden Design
A garden shaped around how you live in it, and the character of the house it belongs to.
Good design starts with time in the garden. We walk it with you, look at how the light moves through the day, where you sit, what you see from the kitchen window, and what the soil is like underfoot.
From there we draw up a clear plan for layout, planting and materials, so you can see how the garden will come together and how it will mature over the seasons before any work begins.

- 01
A visit and conversation
We walk the garden with you and talk through how you want to use it, now and in years to come.
- 02
Layout
Paths, beds, lawn and seating arranged so the garden works day to day and reads well from the house.
- 03
Planting plan
Plants chosen for your light, soil and taste, with structure and interest through every season.
- 04
Materials
Edging, gravel, paving and planters that suit the house and the setting.
- 05
A plan you can follow
A clear plan agreed with you before anything is planted or built.
Especially good for
- New homes and gardens that have never quite worked
- Front gardens that need kerb appeal
- Courtyards and small town gardens
- Gardens that need a calmer, more lasting structure
Questions
About garden design.
Do you also carry out the work?
Yes. We can plant and build the design, and look after the garden afterwards so it matures the way it was planned.
Can you work with the plants I already have?
Often, yes. Good established plants are worth keeping, and we will tell you honestly what is worth working around.
Which areas do you cover?
Hampstead, NW3 and neighbouring Belsize Park, Highgate and Hampstead Garden Suburb, and nearby parts of north London.
